1. WARRANTY POLICY
Warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable.
Liability
of the manufacturer is limited to the cost of the repair or replacement at the manufacturers
discretion of the faulty item within the warranty period. Repairs or replacements
under the warranty do not extend the original period of validity.
If any product is
returned under warranty and found to comply with the relevant specification or standard,
then the cost of any testing and carriage to and from Wenmark Ltd will be borne by
the buyer. The manufacturers warranty does not affect the purchaser’s statutory rights.
2. CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
Customers must produce proof of purchase, a copy of which must be made by the repairing
dealer and may be requested by Wenmark Ltd.
The customer is to ensure that consumable
parts e.g. blades, are replaced/sharpened regularly, drive belts adjusted correctly,
filters and other engine consumable parts replaced in accordance with the manufacturers
recommendations, tyres are inflated correctly (punctures are not covered by warranty)
The
machine is used in accordance with the comprehensive owners manual
3. WARRANTY PERIOD
Wenmark machines carry a 1-year parts and labour warranty for domestic homeowner use and six months for commercial use. Petrol engines for all Wenmark machines are subject to the warranty of the respective manufacturers.
The following items are NOT covered under the Wenmark Ltd warranty.
Those items which fail due to the lack of maintenance, operator abuse, misuse, non
compliance with machine or engine manufacturers owner’s service recommendations,
or machines that have failed due to the fitment of non genuine Wenmark parts.
Machines
serviced or repaired, taken apart or tampered with by any person not authorised by
Wenmark Ltd.
Machines that are incorrectly assembled or adjusted.
Battery failure due
to deterioration during storage. Customers must follow guidelines within the operators
manual i.e. batteries must be disconnected during prolonged periods of non-use (storage)
and only charged with the appropriate charger before storage and again when the machine
is re-commissioned.
Inconsistent tyre pressures, or punctures.
Damage due to vibration
caused by accident damage or neglect, incorrectly fitted or badly maintained blades,
damaged or bent blade spindles, bent engine crankshafts, etc.
Damage caused to the
fuel system and carburettor due to stale fuel, Wenmark Ltd recommend that only the
approved engine manufacturers fuel additive is used to prolong fuel storage life,
especially during periods of non-use (storage). Cleaning of fuel systems, or repairing
corrosion to carburettors is not covered by the engine manufacturers warranty.
Any
damage resulting from the use of the machine in a manner or purpose not originally
intended by the manufacturer.
Damage caused to bearings, ball joints, spindles and
electrical systems due to cleaning with water.
Items considered to be consumable parts
are not normally covered by the Wenmark Ltd warranty i.e.
Blade and blade assemblies, Blade bearings, Belts, Recoil ropes, Filters, Spark plugs, Clutch pads / brake pads, Engine/Gearbox oil or lubricants.
